Tossit and your captured content

Tossit is a browser extension and web app that helps you capture screenshots, files, and links along with short voice notes, then save them into structured folders in your own storage (for example, Google Drive). When you use Tossit:

  • The screenshots, files, and transcripts you capture are stored primarily in your own third‑party storage accounts (such as Google Drive) under folders you choose.
  • Bookmane Labs does not permanently store this captured content on its own servers, except transiently as needed to provide features like transcription, syncing, or error recovery.
  • We do not access or modify unrelated files in your Google Drive or other storage; Tossit only interacts with the folders and files it creates or that you explicitly select.

1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

Personal information you disclose to us

In Short: We collect personal information that you provide to us.

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Services, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us.

Personal information provided by you. The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the Services, the choices you make, and the products and features you use. The personal information we collect may include the following:

  • Email addresses.
  • Basic account identifiers when you connect third‑party accounts (for example, your Google Account email and basic profile information when you connect Tossit to Google).
  • Configuration and preference data related to Tossit (such as which storage provider you connected, the root folder you selected, and your feature preferences).

Sensitive information. We do not process sensitive information.

Payment data. We may collect data necessary to process your payment if you make purchases, such as your payment instrument number and the security code associated with your payment instrument. All payment data is stored by Razorpay. You may find their privacy notice on Razorpay’s website.

Social media login data. We may provide you with the option to register with us using your existing social media account details, like your Facebook, Twitter, or other social media account. If you choose to register in this way, we will collect the information described in the section called "HOW DO WE HANDLE YOUR SOCIAL LOGINS?" below.

All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.

Information related to Tossit usage

When you use the Tossit Chrome extension or web app, we may also process:

  • Technical and usage data (such as basic logs about extension usage, capture success/failure events, and error diagnostics), which does not include the actual content of your screenshots, files, or transcripts.
  • Metadata about the way you configure Tossit (for example, which AI sites you enable Tossit on, or whether certain features are turned on or off).

We do not permanently store the content you capture (screenshots, files, notes) on our servers; this content is uploaded to your own storage accounts (e.g., Google Drive), except transiently as needed to provide the Service (for example, to perform transcription).

2. HOW DO WE PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?

In Short: We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law. We may also process your information for other purposes with your consent.

We process your personal information for a variety of reasons, depending on how you interact with our Services, including:

  • To facilitate account creation and authentication and otherwise manage user accounts. We may process your information so you can create and log in to your account, as well as keep your account in working order.
  • To operate Tossit and integrate with your storage providers. We process your account identifiers, configuration, and technical data so Tossit can connect to your Google account (or other providers you choose), create and manage folders for your captures, and keep the extension working reliably. Content you capture is stored primarily in your own storage accounts rather than on Bookmane Labs’ servers.
  • To send administrative information to you. We may process your information to send you details about products and Services, changes to our terms and policies, and other similar information.
  • To protect our Services. We may process your information as part of our efforts to keep our Services safe and secure.
  • To save or protect an individual's vital interest. We may process your information when necessary to save or protect an individual’s vital interest, such as to prevent harm.

Use of Google user data

When you connect Tossit with Google, we receive your Google Account email, basic profile information, and access to Google Drive under the scopes you approve. We use this data only to:

  • Identify which Google account is connected to Tossit.
  • Create and manage folders and files needed to store the content you explicitly capture with Tossit in your Google Drive.

Tossit does not read or modify unrelated files in your Google Drive and does not sell or share your Drive content with third parties.
